Here's The Ultimate 'Friends' Friendsgiving How-To Guide By Bill Bradley

Here's The Ultimate 'Friends' Friendsgiving How-To Guide

This is how you do Friendsgiving right.

No one told you Thanksgiving was gonna be this way.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving is that special day of the year when your family members gather around the table to argue, tolerate your drunk uncle's commentary and eat themselves into food-comas, followed by dessert. But then "Friendsgiving" came along.

This new incarnation of the holiday is essentially just Thanksgiving with your buddies, and although many are trying their own take on the holiday, no one did it better than the sitcom Friends.
Throughout its 10 seasons, Friends became known for its classic Thanksgivingepisodes. And because of those, we can all learn the dos and don'ts of having a great Friendsgiving:

1. Do not show up late.

To avoid getting locked out like the gang did in "The One with the Late Thanksgiving," always make sure you're on time.
2. Dress to Impress

Sweaters are definitely a must. And if you rock a blazer like Ross and Chandler in "The One with the Thanksgiving Flashbacks," well that's not even fair.
3. Remember the turkey is super important.

As host, the turkey is your responsibility. Don't be like Monica in "The One with the Rumor." Always value the turkey as the stupid and delicious masterpiece it is.
4. Let your guests know what they should bring.

Proper delegation what everyone should bring is essential. Springing info on people late always leads to drama.
5. Keep it fun on the football field.

Like in "The One with the Football," tossing the ol' pigskin around is a Friendsgiving tradition. Just make sure to always have fun, you know, by winning at all costs.
6. Pace yourself.

Friends fans know that great things take time. Just look at Ross and Rachel. And Joey knows the most important thing of all is food, so make sure not to go overboard.
7. ...Or just wear your Thanksgiving pants.

Okay, forget that. When it's time to get serious about food, just break out your Thanksgiving pants.
8. Always grab the seat next to Brad Pitt.

If Brad Pitt comes to your Friendsgiving, always grab the seat closest to him (unless you're Rachel Green, that is).
9. Friendsgiving is for turkey. Not for beef.

Drama is for family Thanksgiving only. Don't be like Rachel in "The One with Rachel's Other Sister" and bring your beef to Friendsgiving.
10. Seriously. Brad Pitt doesn't like drama.

You're digging yourself a hole here, Rachel. Just leave the drama out.
11. Whatever you do, don't get the turkey stuck on your head.

12. But if the worst should happen, just make the most of it.

Sometimes things don't go your way on Friendsgiving, but the important thing is you're having fun with people you care about.
13. We're serious about the turkey, though.

Nuff said.
Happy Friendsgiving!
